This article describes how CPU time is distributed among cluster node's containers.

VMmanager OVZ operated with two OpenVZ parameters: cpuunits and cpus.

  • cpuunits - CPU weight for a container. The larger the number is, the more CPU time this container gets. Maximum value is 500000, minimal is 8. Number is relative to weights of all the other running containers.
  • cpus - the number of CPU available to a container.

Both parameters are specified in the "CPU frequency" and "CPU" fields while creating or editing a container.
