ISO images

In this module you can manage ISO-images. "Administrators" and "Operators" have the same permissions for images management. For correct operation, make sure that the Default-Iso-Template template is created. In order to boot a server from an ISO-image, select it in the list of the corresponding operation. Cancelling the operation will boot the server in a standard way.

Depending on its settings, DCIManager allows an administrator and users to boot and use ISO-images. Administrators can pre-define the following global parameters:

  • AllowIso - allow/forbid users to upload ISO-images;
  • IsoLifetime - period in hours that will pass before an ISO-image will be deleted automatically. The default value - unlimited;
  • IsoSizeLimit - the maximum size of an ISO-image per user (the default value is 0 - unlimited);
  • IsoCountLimit - the maximum number of ISO-images per user (the default value is 4)

Manage user ISO-image

  • Id - ISO-image unique identifier.
  • Image name - ISO-image name.
  • Deletion time - time that will pass before this ISO-image will be deleted.
  • Size - ISO-image size.
  • Status - current status of this ISO-image:
P-user.png - user is the owner of this ISO-image.
P-lt3.png - this image is ready
P-onn.png - this image is available to all uses.
P-off.png - this image is available only to its owner.

Upload ISO-image

To upload an ISO-image, select it from the list, click the Upload icon and fill out the form:

  • File type - select how you want to upload the image:
    • ISO-image from local computer
      • Local ISO-image - select an ISO-image on your local computer.
    • URL to ISO-image on remote server
      • URL - enter the URL to the ISO-image you want to upload from the remote server.
      • File name - enter the name for the ISO-image. Leave the field blank to take the name from the URL.
  • Available to all users - select the check box to allow all users to use this ISO-image. This field is available only to administrator
  • Time before deletion, hours - enter period in hours that will pass before this ISO-image will be deleted automatically. The time will be recalculated automatically. This field is available only to administrator. User's ISO will be deleted automatically in 24 hours. In the VMmanager configuration file specify the IsoLifetime parameter to set the deletion time.

Edit ISO-image

This feature is available only for administrators

To edit an ISO-image, select it from the list, click the "Edit" icon and fill out the form:

  • Name - name of the ISO-image.
  • Available to all users - select the check box to make this ISO-image available to all users of the control panel.
  • Delete ISO-image automatically - select the check box to add a cron job to delete the ISO-image automatically. The check for images starts every hour.
  • New time before deletion, hours. - enter period in hours that will pass before this ISO-image will be deleted automatically. The time will be recalculated.

Delete ISO-image

To delete an ISO-image, select it from the list and click the Delete icon. Confirm that you want to delete the ISO-image in the form that will open.
