Aggregated ports (Starting from version 5.142)

Description

The aggregated ports management function is now available for Cisco Catalyst, Eltex 2XXX and Eltex 5XXX (DCImanager will display already created aggregations).

Enable aggregated channels

To enable the option, you first need to collect information from the switch. Once completed, in the list of ports you will see the aggregated channels. P-manage.png. The ports which are included into aggregation are marked with the icon P-aggr.png and P-lt1.png.

As we don't recommend managing such ports, the "Edit" button is disabled for them

Ports and aggregations

Accounting of ports

The system counts only real ports (without aggregated channels):

  • if there are 52 real ports and 3 aggregations - the total amount is 52;
  • if the aggregation includes 5 ports and it is connected to the server, or switch or is marked with the icon described above, all 5 ports are considered in use;
  • if the aggregation includes 5 ports and it is not connected, all 5 ports are considered available even though the P-lt1.png icon is displayed;
