User management (DCImanager)

This module can be used to create and manage DCImanager user accounts.

The following user roles are supported:

  • Administrator - can use a wide range of functions for DCImanager management (he can create and manage user accounts, servers, monitor statistical information, etc.);
  • User - can manage only those servers that were allocated to him.

View a list of users

  • Username - the username that is used to gain access to the control panel.
  • User role - the user's role in DCImanager:
    • Administrator - has full access to DCImanager functions;
    • User - can manage only his servers and monitor traffic usage information.
  • Servers - the number of servers this use own.
  • Status - the current status of the user account:
P-onn.png - the selected user account is active.
P-off.png - the selected user account is not active.

Add user

To create a new user, click the "Create" icon and fill out the form:

  • Username - enter the name for the user.
  • User role - select a role for the user you want to create:
    • Administrator - has full access to DCImanager functions;
    • User - can manage only servers that belong to his account.
  • Password - enter the password to access VMmanager. It should be a combination of characters that is difficult to guess. The password can be randomly generated by the system. To get one, click a special button next to the field.
  • Confirm password - retype the password to ensure it is correct. If it was generated by the system, confirmation is set automatically.

Edit user

To edit user properties, select it from the list, click the "Edit" icon and modify the data.

Delete user

To delete a user, select it from the list and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you want to delete the user by clicking "OK" in the following form.

Switch to User panel

You can access the control panel with privileges of any user. Select it from the list and click the "Enter" icon.

Once drilled down, you will be able to manage the control panel with privileges of the selected user.

To return to your level, click the link next to the welcome line.
