User management (VMmanager OVZ)

This module can be used to create and manage VMmanager OVZ user accounts. After you have installed VMmanager OVZ, add your first user and use the root login and password to access the system.

Once you logged into the system, create a new user in this module.

A VMmanager OVZ user can have one of the following roles:

  • Administrator can use a wide range of functions for VMmanager OVZ management (he can create and manage user accounts, containers, monitor statistical information, etc.);
  • User can manage only containers and volumes allocated to his account.

View a list of users

  • Id - unique identifier of this user.
  • Username - the username that is used to gain access to the control panel.
  • User role - the user's role in VMmanager OVZ:
    • Administrator - has full access to VMmanager OVZ functions;
    • User - can manage only containers and volumes that are allocated to his account.
  • Status - the current status of the user account:
P-onn.png - the selected user account is active.
P-off.png - the selected user account is not active.

Add user

To create a new user, clcik the "Create" icon and fill out the form:

  • User role - select a role for the user you want to create:
    • Administrator - has full access to VMmanager OVZ functions;
    • User - can manage only containers and volumes that are allocated to his account.
  • Username - enter the username to access VMmanager OVZ.
  • Password - enter the password to access VMmanager OVZ. It should be a combination of characters that is difficult to guess. The password can be randomly generated by the system. To get one, click a special button next to the field.
  • Confirmation - retype the password to ensure it is correct. If it was generated by the system, confirmation is set automatically.

Edit user

To edit user properties, select it from the list, click the "Edit" icon and modify the data.

Note: you cannot change the user's role.

Delete user

To delete a user, select it from the list and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you want to delete the user by clicking "OK" in the following form.

Switch to User panel

You can access the control panel with privileges of any user. Select it from the list and click the "Enter" icon.

Once drilled down, you will be able to manage the control panel with privileges of the selected user.

To return to your level, click the link next to the welcome line.
