VM location rules

Here you can add rules for location of virtual machines.

View a list of rules

  • Priority - execution order. The rule with the smallest value will be executed first.
  • Rule type - property that will be checked when processing the rule. It can be the name of a VM or OS template.
  • Operand
    • Contains - checks that the "value" field is included into the property
    • Does not contain - checks that the "Value" field is not included into the property.
  • Value - value for comparison
  • Cluster node - cluster node (* - all nodes) that will be added or deleted from the list of nodes if the condition is matched (depending on the "Operation" field)
  • Operation - operation for this cluster node:

P-stop.png - stop processing of rules
P-delete.png - delete the node from the list

Add a new rule

To add a new rule for VM location, click "Add", and fill out the form:

  • Priority - set the execution order. The rule with the smallest value will be executed first.
  • Rule type - enter a property that will be checked when processing the rule. It can be the name of a VM or OS template.
  • Operand
    • Contains - checks that the "value" field is included into the property
    • Does not contain - checks that the "Value" field is not included into the property.
  • Value - enter a value for comparison
  • Cluster node - select a cluster node (* - all nodes) that will be added or deleted from the list of nodes if the condition is matched (depending on the "Operation" field)
  • Operation - select an operation for this cluster node:

P-stop.png - stop processing of rules
P-delete.png - delete the node from the list
  • Stop processing - If this rule has been already used, you can stop processing the rules

Edit rule

To edit properties of the location rule, select it from the table, click the "Edit" icon, and modify the data.

Delete rule

To delete a location rule, select it from the list, and click the "Delete" icon. Confirm that you wish to delete the rule by clicking OK on the following form.
